Life After Life Memorial Park

Tannenbaum Design Group worked with the nonprofit Life After Life Foundation to develop their modern memorial park design.

Life After Life’s modern memorial is a place of reflection and remembrance, designed to honor and remember those who have passed. The central feature is a lake with a boardwalk that skirts along the tranquil water’s edge. Evidently, this provides a peaceful space for visitors to reflect and remember.

The park focuses on the use of sustainably sourced and natural materials which give the park a natural warmth, blending the built environment seamlessly with the surrounding habitat. The park is designed to be accessible to all. Art, Sculpture, gathering places, shade structures, and diverse natural sites draw visitors though the space.

An event space is burrowed in a lush forest, creating a secluded and intimate setting for gatherings and ceremonies. The natural canopy of deciduous trees provide shade and shelter. While at the same time, the forest floor is lined with wildflowers and native shrubbery, adding color and texture to the landscape. Undoubtedly, the park restores habitat to bring back the indigenous species that once roamed the area.

As the sun sets and the stars come out, the memorial transforms into a magical wonderland. Particularly, with subtle lighting illuminating the paths and highlighting the natural beauty of the park.

Life After Life’s park is a harmonious blend of nature and design, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for visitors to honor and remember the loved ones while creating an amenity for future generation to enjoy and learn in.
