Life After Life Park
Tannenbaum Design Group worked with the nonprofit Life After Life Foundation to develop their modern memorial park design.
Life After Life (LAL) nestles its park event space within the technology enhanced modern memorial park. The building looks out onto a lush oasis, allowing visitors to forget they are in the middle of a city. Surrounded by the natural beauty of towering trees and verdant greenery, patrons connect with nature and experience a deeper connection to its process during celebrations of life as a result. The sound of the nearby water, rustle of the trees, and songs of the birds create perfect ambiance as guests take in the serene surroundings.
The main event area is a dynamic donut shaped building. This provides a perfect space for hosting indoor or outdoor hybrid gatherings with natural materials and outward looking glass. LAL creates a picturesque setting for celebrations-of-life, funerals, and services of any type. Guests can take a stroll along the winding paths and bridges that lead to secluded seating areas. The park provides a perfect oasis for intimate and memorable conversations.
The space is designed to seamlessly blend with its natural surroundings, with native trees, perennials, shrubs, and wildflowers adding color and texture to the landscape in contrast to the urban concrete jungle that surrounds it. Undoubtedly, the space is symbiotic with the environment restoring connection to the local indigenous habitat. An ecosystem ravaged by industrial development gets returned to a biome teaming with life.
As the sun sets and the stars come out, the memorial transforms into a magical wonderland. Particularly, with subtle lighting illuminating the paths and highlighting the natural beauty of the park.
The LAL event space is a harmonious blend of nature and structure, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for guests to enjoy and remember.
